Jodi’s Bainter’s book, “Make it Morning,” is the story of her family’s journey after her son, Jake, was accidentally run over by a riding lawnmower in 2004. The injuries Jake suffered eventually led to the amputation of one of his legs above the knee. Franklin Mejias, the Venezuelan boy who lost all four of his limbs to a deadly illness last year, was back at POA last month for some adjustments and rehab.
